Sermon: "Warts and All"

YIKES! What a huge, unexpected turnout! Our second Sunday in a row following a significant Saturday snow. And the people gathered. Week 2 of Advent. How about a sermon on the begats found in Matthew 1? Sound crazy? It does, and it did! Ye, I cannot recall the last time this many people commented (favorably) and expressed an interest in what was addressed. The main question was "why did Matthew begin his chronicle of Jesus' life with a history lesson," ie, the begats. The answer is actually found in the question.
