We're incredibly happy to have you with us.
At the First United Methodist Church of McHenry, we cherish being a fully inclusive congregation. Our commitment to embracing and supporting everyone is deeply ingrained in our beliefs. We affirm and welcome individuals from every corner of life's journey.
Community Food Pantry
First United Methodist Church of McHenry has turned our curbside library into a community food pantry to help address local food insecurity. If you or someone you know needs food, stop by our “Stop and Shop” pantry in the church parking lot—it's stocked with non-perishables and open to all, no questions asked. Donations are also welcome! If you’re able, please drop off non-perishable items to help keep our neighbors fed. Together, we can ensure no one in our community goes hungry.
Winter Coat Drive
This Christmas season, we’re collecting new and gently used clean coats to help keep local kids and teens warm. Drop off donations anytime the church is open, or leave them in a plastic bag by the Main Street door after hours. Every coat goes directly to youth in the McHenry area. Thank you for helping ensure every child has the warmth they deserve.
