Throughout the year, on Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m., children from ages two through the sixth grade explore God's Word through lessons, activities, music and mission projects. Recent projects have included opportunities for the children to bond with and care for older members of the congregation and the community.
Children in grades four through six experience the Bible in creative ways through our Rotation model Sunday school. Computers, study, games, drama and art are part of this model.
CONFIRMATION
Designed as an entrance into youth ministry confirmation classes are offered to seventh and eighth graders who would like to learn about the faith and beliefs of the United Methodist Church. The classes meet weekly on Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. The youth experience a combination of Bible study and fellowship with adult leaders and the pastor. Retreats, service and mission opportunities are a part of their spiritual journey.
HIGH SCHOOL
Classes for those in the ninth to twelfth grades meet Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. These classes provide in depth teaching from and about God's Word with an emphasis upon application and growing in faith.
LOGOS
The Logos Program is a mid-week program designed for ministry with youth and children and their families. The program is a dynamic ministry of Christian nurture, the goal of which is to nurture youth and children into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and live as his disciples.
The LOGOS Program is a four-part program. All youth and children participate in all four parts of the LOGOS Program each week. Weekly sessions are 3 ½ to 4 hours for up to thirty weeks during the school year. Youth and children participate in Bible Study, Worship Skills, Recreation Play, and Family Time.
4th - 8th grades meet Thursday in the fellowship hall from 4:15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
9th - 12th grades meet Thursday in the fellowship hall from 5:00 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Offered during the summer, VBS is a one week session with a Christian theme involving Bible study, crafts, music, games and refreshments. Children from pre-school through the sixth grade are welcome to participate.
ADULT EDUCATION
PILGRIM'S CLASS
This is a study group that welcomes adults of all ages to participate in discussions of various books of the Bible, significant people from the Bible or related topics. It meets Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m.
MEN'S GROUP
A men's fellowship group meets Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. Its goal is for its participants to gain insight into the Word of God through the discussion of various books.
BOOK CLUB
The book club meets every four to six weeks on Sunday afternoons from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The choice of books discussed is made by those wishing to participate and has included both fiction and non-fiction selections.
DISCIPLE BIBLE STUDY
Participants in any of the four Disciple Bible Study courses meet for 2-2.5 hours weekly for 32 to 34 weeks. Independent study, reflection, and discussion are integral parts of the classes. Each course devotes time to both the Old and New Testaments.
